Wildfamilies Bushcraft Skills @ Gun Moor 27/10
27 October 2021, 10:00 - 12:00 (Add to calendar)
Aged between 6-13 years? Bring you family with you and come and join the Wildchild Officers for an morning of Bushcraft Skills. Come with us on a heathland adventure and try your hand at shelter building, whittling or lighting a kelly kettle.
This session is part of our 'Big Wild Walk' campaign https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/events/big-wild-walk-2021 and will include a walk across the breath-taking Gun Moor reserve. The UK is hosting COP26 (The UN Climate Conference of the parties) from 1st-12th November. The role of nature is one of the key topics to be discussed. You can play your vital part in climate action by taking part in our Big Wild Walk!
Meet the Wildchild Officers in the wide lay-by opposite Gun Moor and we'll head across the moor together where you will feel on top of the world with stunning views across the South West Peak. If you're running late please don't worry, follow the signs across the moor to the trig point, then follow the path to the right and you'll find us in the woods.
We ask that you do not attend this event if you, or anyone in your household, are showing symptoms of any contagious illness such as Covid 19 or if you have been contacted by the Test and Trace system and advised to self isolate.
