Get Wild @ The Roaches 27/10

27 October 2021, 13:30 - 15:30 (Add to calendar)

Leave your parents behind and #GetWild with South West Peak

Are you aged between 8-13 years? Then come with us on a woodland adventure and #GetWild. We will start our day with a walk to the woods but from there it’s your choice! Do you like bug hunting, building dens, swinging in hammocks or simply enjoy spending time in nature? Ask your parents to drop you off at The Roaches Gate and we’ll return after our adventure at 3.30pm for them to pick you up again.

This session is part of our 'Big Wild Walk' campaign and will include a wild walk on the Roaches estate. The UK is hosting COP26 (The UN Climate Conference of the parties) from 1st-12th November. The role of nature is one of the key topics to be discussed. You can play your vital part in climate action by taking part in our Big Wild Walk!

Don’t forget to wear some warm layers and pair of sturdy shoes or wellies as we’ll be outdoors, and bring a drink and some snacks.

We ask that you do not attend this event if you, or anyone in your household, are showing symptoms of any contagious illness such as Covid 19 or if you have been contacted by the Test and Trace system and advised to self isolate.

There are no facilities so please make sure you visit the toilet before you arrive. This activity is free of charge but we do ask that you book in advance.
